Request for Proposal: Pension Administration System (PAS)

The County Employees’ and Officers’ & Forest Preserve District Employees’ Annuity & Benefit Fund of Cook County invites the submission of proposals from qualified firms with a long-term and demonstrated commitment to pension administration to select and implement a commercially-available pension administration system (PAS). The RFP is available beginning November 8, 2024. The submission deadline is 2:00 pm CST, January 16, 2025. To receive the RFP, all interested parties are required to register. Registration is required to obtain a complete set of the proposal forms.

Request for Proposal: Actuarial Services

The County Employees’ and Officers’ Annuity and Benefit Fund of Cook County and the Forest Preserve District Employees’ Annuity and Benefit Fund of Cook County invites the submission of proposals from qualified firms to provide expert advice and comprehensive actuarial services. The RFP is available beginning July 12, 2024. The submission deadline is 3:00 pm CST, August 16, 2024. To receive the RFP, all interested parties are required to register. Registration is required to obtain a complete set of the proposal forms.

2023 Annual Contribution Statements Mailed

Annual Contribution Statements (ACS) were mailed to active employees on May 2, 2024. The ACS shows the balance of contributions towards retirement that active employees have accumulated with CCPF through December 31, 2023. This statement is intended to be informational only.

Form 1095-B Mailed

The Cook County Pension Fund has mailed 1095-B's to members who had eligible medical coverage in 2024.

An election for a Cook County Employee Trustee, a Cook County Annuitant Trustee and a Forest Preserve District Annuitant Trustee will be held on October 30, 2019. Voting will take place in-person at the Cook County Building or by mail.

Out-of-State Annuitant Certification Form Deadline Extended

This June, the Cook County Pension Fund mailed an Annual Out-of-State Annuity Certification form to all annuitants living outside of Illinois. If you have received this letter, please note the deadline has been extended to September 15, 2019.

CCPF Office Closed in Observance of Independence Day

The Cook County Pension Fund (CCPF) office will be closed on Thursday, July 4, 2019 and Friday, July 5, 2019, in observance of the Independence Day holiday.

Understanding the Furlough Service and Earnings Credit and Your Eligibility

Active members retiring or considering retirement in the next four years are the most likely to benefit from the Furlough Service and Earnings Credit amendment passed by the Illinois General Assembly during the 2019 spring legislative session. Members who think they may be eligible for the credit should contact the CCPF.

On April 18, 2018, the Cook County Pension Fund mailed the Out-of-State Benefit Eligibility form to all annuitants living outside of Illinois. If you receive this letter, please respond by June 15, 2018.

The Fundamentals of Service Credit

Service credit is based on your work history with Cook County or the Forest Preserve District and can only be granted to you if you’ve made pension contributions to CCPF.

New Medicare Cards Coming

Are you or a loved one enrolled in Medicare? New Medicare cards will be automatically mailed out to all Medicare members between April 2018 and April 2019.

2018 Federal Income Tax Withholding Tables

Updated federal income tax withholding tables for 2018 were released January 11, 2018. Any changes made to your monthly annuity payment based on your withholding election will be reflected starting with your February 1, 2018 payment.

2016 Actuarial Valuation Results

The Cook County Pension Fund (CCPF) completed its actuarial valuations for the Cook County and Forest Preserve District funds for the fiscal year ending December 31, 2016.
