The Retirement Board of the County Employees’ and Officers’ Annuity and Benefit Fund of Cook County and ex officio for the Forest Preserve District Employees’ Annuity and Benefit Fund of Cook County announce the vacancy of a County Employee member position. Under Section 9-187 of the Illinois Pension Code, the remaining members of the Board shall appoint a successor to fill the vacancy to serve during the remainder of the unexpired term. The Board is seeking a successor to fill the vacant position through November 30, 2017.   The successor must currently be an employee of Cook County and must have had five (5) years of service credit in that capacity as of December 1, 2014. 

Potential nominees should submit an expression of their interest, including any supporting materials, for consideration by the Retirement Board. The date on which submissions may be submitted has been extended to July 29, 2016.
